Meet Tim
I am a Native Idahoan and USMC veteran. I have two Bachelor’s degrees, one in psychology and the other is in philosophy. I graduated with my Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Human services from the University of Idaho in 2020. I have been around mental health services my entire life and have been professionally involved since 2016. I worked as a CBRS/Case Manager/Peer Support Specialist for 2 years before going to get my masters. I then spent nearly 3 years working as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, while obtaining my masters, assisting people with disabilities, both physical and mental, to attain employment. I then began my journey in mental health counseling in January of 2022. I use an eclectic style that focuses on warm, person-centered counseling but incorporates pieces of Gestalt, Rogerian theory, Feminist theory, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and more. I tailor my approach to each person while remaining as authentic to myself. I have found it crucial to meet people where they are and work to build them up. When I am not working, you will often find me with my horses and dogs. I often camp and love the outdoors. I also love kicking back with some books or video games from time to time.
